in a 3 month residency. We are half way through. Since January we have been exploring ceramic hand-building, batik soft sculpture, fabric collage stories, sewing, plasticine settings, drawing from collections and kinetic wire sculpture to expand the languages of learning and representation available to both students and teachers.

"...the opportunity to have a hands-on experience with the students. It's much easier to do again when you know how to do something. Also, Ewa shared with us the amounts, brands and where to purchase - this helps us to know how and where to begin to do these projects again. We have done batik and felting [on our own] again and the projects were successful."
"learning a new art technique - another unique way to represent understanding (Canadian Identity - Social Studies)"
"the students really enjoyed it and were very engaged - all students were able to participate and experience success"
"I appreciate how effective the classes were in helping the kids express their individuality"
